VOLGOGRAD – On June 14 to 16, a regional conference “True Word of the Gospel” took place at Volgograd Grace of Jesus Christ church.
The conference was devoted to celebrating the 28th anniversary of the church. Two worship teams from the Truth Church of Mikhailovka and the Grace church of Volgograd, two choirs – children and adult – and two worship teams from the organizing church ministered at the conference.
Bishops Alexei Rudenki (Volgograd), Pavel Kudrov (Syktyvkar), Svyatoslav Purshaga (Vladimir), Alexnder Kalinin (Astrakhan) and the Head bishop of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith Edward Grabovenko (Perm) ministered at the conference with the word of inspiration. The main challenge of the preachers was to remember that Jesus Christ is not only the personal Savior of every human, but also the Savior of the world, so it is really important to serve God by preaching the Gospel, not just be an outside observer, but an active participant of God’s work.
The last day of the conference was the Pentecost day. Many people received baptism in the Holy Spirit during the services. One more pleasant event was a birthday of a man who was the founder of the church in Volgograd – Alexei Rudenki. He preached how important the contribution of each one into God’s ministry was, and how important each member of the church was to Christ. The bishop blessed the pastors and the ministers for many years of dedicated work for the sake of the Kingdom of God and the society.
Three amazing days in a family environment and God’s presence finished with joint worship and praising God. “Because of the hope laid up for you in heaven, of which you previously heard in the word of truth, the gospel” (Colossians 1:5).
