SYKTYVKAR – On May 17 to 19 a regional conference devoted to celebrating the 24th Anniversary of the “Source of Life” church took place in Syktyvkar. For 24 years the church ministers and conducts services, and that’s a common celebration for every member.
Christians of Komi Republic and Syktyvkar gathered in May to celebrate the anniversary of the “Source of Life” church and to participate in the conference. The speakers shared encouraging words about unity and honoring, influence of the Holy Spirit and the ministry. Besides the services the participants could take part in workshops about finances, missionary work, leadership and others.
Head Bishop of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith Edward Grabovenko, bishop of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith Pavel Kudrov, bishop of the Russian Union of Christians of Evangelical Faith Dmitri Maslak, prophet and teacher from the USA Robert Mayware were the speakers at the conference.
Pastor Edward spoke about ministering to God and provision to the minister: “God has everything, He has enough resources and blessings. But the problem of people today is lack of time”. Dmitri Maslak shared about the importance of humbleness and honor: “We should never forget who we were and what grace God has given us”. Bishop Pavel Kudrov, the host of the conference, encouraged the participants to never lag behind in ministry and continue to follow the Lord: “Serving God is something that should constantly renew”. Doctor Robert Mayware shared the revelation about the Holy Spirit and the revival: “If you have faith, you will witness more miracles than Jesus Himself. The revival comes and the Spirit of God is at work. Russia expects you to take action in the power of the Holy Spirit”.
Minister of national affairs of Komi Republic Galina Gabusheva congratulated the church on the Anniversary. Chief of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith administration Ivan Borichevski, pastor of “City Mission” church Wee Tiong Howe, bishop Vyacheslav Gerasimov and pastors of the “Source of Life” daughter churches Anatoly and Valentina Potapovs, Ivan and Elena Butarins, Arseny and Olesya Prokushevs, Grant and Elena Burnadze, Pavel and Valentina Volkovs, Vyacheslav and Natalya Prokushevs congratulated the church. Performance groups presented their programme and congratulated the congregation on the event.
Church and youth worship teams led praise and worship. There was a photo zone where the participants took pictures as mementos of the outstanding event. On Sunday, every participant was treated a tasty cupcake.
The next conference is going to be a jubilee – 25th anniversary. Preliminary dates are May 8–10, 2020.
