Recently One Year For Jesus project team from the “Salvation in Jesus” church has visited 9 villages in Baleiskyi area. The Word of God has never been preached in these communities, there was not even one Christian in those villages.
In every village the team split, and then went two by two from home to home, to testify about the Lord Jesus Christ. 117 people got saved as a result of this work! People were listening to the Word of God with a great hunger, receiving faith and hope. In some places, whole families have received Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Praise the Lord! The fields are ripe for harvest!
God is showing a great mercy to the people of Zabaikalie region. Here is what happened in Zhetkovo village: a young woman, tired of hopelessness and despair, had decided to commit suicide. She had put her son to bed, grabbed a rope and went to the backyard barn to take her life. She had gotten everything ready to do so, when she heard her son crying. Her mother’s heart could not stay indifferent, so she went inside the house to calm him down and decided to wait till the next day to fulfill her plan. The next day an Evangelistic team had arrived to the village and came to her house. Bothers and sisters shared Good News about Jesus Christ with her, that He had died and rose from the dead for her. She and her whole household accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. This is truly a miracle of salvation! We can see again and again that the spoken Word can save lives!
When the team arrived to Novaya Aliya village, they were looking for a place to stay overnight, they met Ivan, who was drunk and had been on drinking binge for a while. The team stayed at his house for three days. This man repented and became a different person with radiant eyes! The Gospel changes a person not only inside, the change becomes obvious on the outside too!
Dear brothers and sisters, the harvest is ripe! It is impossible to be unmoved by it, when you can see the changes in the people’s lives, and the devil’s defeat!
Beloved, we are asking you to join us in prayers:
- For the team (provision, unity within the team, for the strength in preaching the Word, compassion for the lost);
- Please pray for 117 newly converted souls (for them to grow in knowledge of the Lord, for God’s protection over them and their families). We will mail them some Bibles shortly, and start home groups in the communities with new Christians.
- Please pray for the communities in Shelopuginskyi area, our Evangelistic team will be heading there in the beginning of April. (We are asking the Lord to prepare the hearts of the people to receive, that any resistance to the knowledge of God would be destroyed)
