KEMEROVO – In early March, the Fellowship of Christian Churches of Kemerovo held a festival called “Russian Bible Day”.
This holiday is timed to the date of Emperor Alexander I decree on the translation of the Bible into Russian, on February 28, 1816. The result of the decree and many years of work of theologians, translators and ministers was the Synodal translation, which to this day is the most widespread among the Russian-speaking population of the planet.
In 2026, we will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Synodal translation of the Bible. Let's celebrate this significant event together, emphasizing the importance of the Bible as a carrier of fundamental values.
A thematic brochure has been developed especially for this celebration. You can see how the “Day of the Russian Bible” took place in Kemerovo here: https://bibleday.ru/.
