REVDA – On March 15, the women's ministry “Esther” celebrated its 10th anniversary in Revda church “House of the Living God”. The event was attended by 60 participants. The program included contests and creative performances.
“And this maiden pleased his eyes and gained his favor.” — With these words began her message the leader of the women's ministry Iolanta Polyakina. Addressing sisters Daria and Eugenia, supervisors of the women's ministry “Esther,” she drew a parallel with the biblical story of Queen Esther. She noted their important role in ministering to women by raising their dignity and compared them to the seven maidens of the royal house who helped women regain their lost dignity.
The evening began with a performance by a member of the church's praise team, Lyubov Langer, who sang the song “Divinely Beautiful.” The program included contests organized by sisters Linara Shchinova and Valeria Andreeva, where the participants guessed melodies and demonstrated their knowledge in various fields. There were musical contests and creative numbers. The founder of the club Albina Kuzikova shared the history of the creation of the women's ministry “Esther”. And an unexpected surprise was the appearance of a courier with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers from the brothers of the church.
Two thematic photo zones were organized for the participants, including a stand with the image of Queen Esther, allowing each woman to feel herself in her image. At the end of the hall there was a fair where the sisters presented handmade products.
The Esther women’s ministry plays an important role in the lives of women, providing them with opportunities for self-actualization, support and development. Celebrating a decade confirms the value and necessity of such an association for the women's community.
“Esther” is a platform for women of different ages, for fellowship, edification, friendship, support, joint prayer.
The team of curators of this ministry, Daria Duyeva and Evgenia Pereskokova, try to create a comfortable, friendly atmosphere. In the story of Esther it is said that the eunuch Gigai chose this girl because she made him feel comfortable. He hastened to give her the lappings and everything else, and assigned to her “seven maidens from the king's house worthy to be by her side.” As the leader of the women's ministry Iolanta Polyakina said, “I see this as a prototype of how Jesus chooses every woman who opens her heart. And the leaders of this ministry are like maidens from the royal house, they help women to find their lost dignity.
