BARNAUL – The men's conference “Man After God's Heart” took place in Barnaul at the Light of Awakening Church on February 20 and 21.
During these days, brothers gathered together to seek God's face, strengthen their faith, and reflect on their calling as men.
The main speaker of the conference was Pastor Artem Chernetsky from the Church of the Risen Christ the Savior of Krasnoyarsk.
In his first sermon, he placed special emphasis on God's action: “Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert” (Is. 43:19). The new is that which we have not yet experienced. Everything depends on the state of our “wineskins”—whether our hearts are ready to receive God's action today.
The sermon highlighted important guidelines:
• Before stepping into the new, one must talk with God and be honest with oneself;
• Blessings can turn into idols if focus is lost;
• Christ is our Head, and by feeding from Him, a man can be a source of life for his family.
In the second sermon, the theme of cleansing and strength was addressed. Only the blood of Jesus Christ can truly cleanse and restore. God desires to expand and multiply, but moving forward is possible only in the power of the Holy Spirit, through sincere walking before Him and in humility. When we are filled with Him, we are able to live and serve in strength.
During the conference, a briefing session was held where participants could ask pastors questions on a wide range of topics—from personal spiritual life to practical aspects of ministry and family.
These days became a time of renewal, strengthening, and a call to move forward together with God.
