IZHEVSK – On November 22 and 23, a family conference entitled “The Work of the Holy Spirit, Family in Focus” was held in Izhevsk.
The event took place in the building of Philadelphia Church in Izhevsk. The organizer was the God's Grace Church. The main speaker was the head of the Family Ministry, senior pastor of the Church of Christ the Savior Bishop Vladimir Khvalov (Rostov-on-Don).
At first, the service to priestly families was held. It was attended by about a hundred people. Mainly they were pastors and their spouses. The speaker shared how to overcome the difficulties that ministers face in family life. This includes lack of time to communicate with his wife and children, emotional exhaustion, and heavy burden of responsibility for the family, church and others. Bishop shared personal experiences and prayed with his wife for the families of ministers.
The main part of the conference was attended by about 400 people. These were couples from different churches, as well as couples in which one of the spouses was not a Christian. Bishop spoke about the foundations of Christian marriage and the practical implementation of biblical principles in family life. He paid special attention to prayers for married couples.
During his trip to Izhevsk, Bishop Vladimir Khvalov spent time with ministers and preached in two churches on Sunday.
“I would like to note that this conference was very well organized, and my wife and I served fruitfully, — said Bishop Vladimir Khvalov. — There were many prayers for the renewal of the covenant, for children, for the healing of emotions in the relationship between spouses. Many people testified not only about spiritual, but also about physical healing. Mostly, there were healings of the back and spine. Many pastors shared their experiences and told us that they had received internal changes during this conference. I myself began to look at some things differently, and was very inspired by the way the Lord works.”
The next marriage conference with the participation of Bishop Vladimir Khvalov will be held in Yalta, on December 12-15, 2019.
