In late March 2013, a group of evangelists from several churches of Krasnoyarsk regional association has visited several villages and towns in the north of the Krasnoyarsk Territory: Kolmogorovo, Nizhneshadrino, Fomka, Nazimovo, Sergeyevo. These places are very remote and one can only get there on winter roads while they still are covered with snow on a heavy vehicle like GAZ-66, at other seasons there is no road.
In general, residents of these villages are so called Old Believers* (very conservative orthodox believers), except for one village – Nazimovo. Local residents told us that we should have come here long time ago. In each village the Lord arranged wonderful meetings, many people were open to communication, invited us into their homes, fed us wonderful meals. Including those who belonged to Old Believers. Many people repented and turned to Christ when they realized that He fogave their sins, they gratefully took the New Testaments as gifts.
God brought us to a family of Old Believers. Jacob and Irena prayed a prayer of repentance, we prayed for their healing, and then all together we sang songs of praise to the Lord. One of the residents of this village was very surprised by this. According to him, these people were previously unable to let us into their home, it would have been against their religion. But the Lord is great, He opens people's hearts. In five villages evangelists handed gospel to people in every home and conducted evangelistic concerts in local convention centers. A lot of Christian literature was distributed. One man was taken to a rehabilitation center. Our Lord is good and merciful!
