“It is the will of God that all men be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth”. His intentions and His will are not to be stopped. Just recently missionaries group from Philadelphia Church in Udmurtia witnessed it when they traveled in villages of three districts of Udmurtia and Bashkortostan – two autonomous republics in central Russia. They were bringing the Good News to people in those villages.
God wants to speak to people in many ways, using completely different techniques, styles, languages. We shared about salvation with people of different nationalities – Mari and Udmurt, Russians and Bashkirs; of different ages – adults and children, of different vocations – teachers and students. We did it through evangelistic concerts, “Jesus” film showings, home visits and creative art meetings.
In the village Volipelga (Vavozhskiy district of Udmurtia) about a hundred students and teachers got together in a school assembly hall for a music concert. Two Udmurt ethnic music groups “Inkrez” (which means “Heavenly Melody”) and “Shumpoton” (“Joy”) performed for them.
More than one hundred students gathered to watch children's version of “Jesus” film in Udmurt language in the villages of Aribash and Yuda (Tatyshlinskiy district of Bashkortostan). Students were given gifts – Children's Bibles.
Team members visited people’s homes in villages of Bashkortostan: V. Barabanovka, Bikbarda, Chickasha, Urada, Shagirt (Kuedinskiy district).
An amazing creative art meeting took place in the town of Chernushka (Perm region). Music group “Inkrez” gave a concert and were able to speak with representatives of Udmurt Ethnic Center. The group had a great discussion on spiritual matters and shared the Good News with them.
During all those meetings, conversations, concerts and home visits we witnessed how people's hearts were touched by God's grace. Time and again we saw tears of repentance and joy of forgiveness on people’s faces. This is the greatest miracle that God performed and He granted us the privilege of witnessing this miracle!
