USSURIYSK – “God will be glorified either way, but it is better if it happens through you,” said Pavel Shabanov, the Youth Ministry Coordinator for the Far East, addressing participants of the youth conference held on March 9 at the Higher Calling Church in Ussuriysk.
Young people from different cities of Primorsky District gathered for the conference. Throughout the day, participants attended worship services, listened to sermons, prayed, and spent time in fellowship.
One of the speakers was Faiz Khalimov, pastor of the Grace Church of Nakhodka. Speaking to the youth, he emphasized the value of a person in God’s eyes: “God values in you what people may not be able to appreciate.”
The second service featured a sermon by Pavel Shabanov from Khabarovsk. His message focused on personal responsibility in the Christian life and the willingness to dedicate one’s life to serving God.
After lunch, a talk show session was held where ministers and young participants discussed a number of challenging topics relevant to youth. Among them were preparation for marriage, how to resist temptation, and practical steps toward maintaining a godly life.
The conference concluded with an evening of worship and prayer led by Timofey Romanyuk from the city of Partizansk. In his message, he emphasized that ministry should be driven by love for God rather than personal ambitions.
According to the organizers, more than 100 young people took part in the conference. The teaching and fellowship they received are expected to encourage them as they return to their local churches and ministries.
