Musician Natalia Idrisova organized a children's ministry “School of Praise” in Orel with the support of Christian Evangelical Pentecostal churches.
The ministry “School of Praise” for children from 6 to 16 years old began its work on September 1, 2024. The project was organized by Natalia Idrisova, the head of the International Ministry “School of Glorification” together with the leaders of Pentecostal churches in the city of Orel.
Participants learned to play musical instruments such as piano, drums, bass and electric guitar, studied musical notation, developed vocal skills and participated in spiritual conversations about worship. Once a month, students held praise and worship services, showing their accomplishments.
“I really like it here, the ministers are very kind. The thing I enjoyed most was learning the praise songs. My favorite is “I'll Be Diving.” I am glad that I learned how to play the drums and now I can perform songs on my own,” shared 12-year-old Timofey, a participant of the children's School of Praise ministry.
Natalia Idrisova grew up in a family of musicians and believes that music ministry strengthens faith. Her goal is not only to teach children music, but also to help them express their love for God through creativity.
The project has united several churches of Evangelical Pentecostal Christians in Orel. This is the first such experience in the churches of the city; previously music ministry among children was not systematized.
The “School of Praise” ministry team hopes that every church will have such a ministry, attracting even more talented children and helping to strengthen their faith. “Music is the language we talk to God. And it is great when children learn it from an early age,” said the project leader.
