The team of Christ the Savior Church from Cheboksary has been working more than two years reaching cities and towns of the Chuvash Republic. Recently, the team traveled to a town called Severny, where about 600 people live.
Here is what team members wrote: "When we arrived there, we prayed that God would help us to tell people that Jesus loves them and offers them salvation. In the beginning, people didn’t want to listen to us. But then we met a woman who was happy to listen to us and the news we brought to her. She liked everything; she invited us to her house and fed. We preached to her about Christ, and she was happy and said that she was waiting for this simple gospel message.
This woman was the first in the village to accept Jesus Christ as her Savior. She was our angel. We went on to the village, and people were willing to take the Word of God and to listen to us. Their hearts were hungry for God. We gave New Testaments as gifts to all who made peace with God, and there were many of them.
Thank God that He gives us the time and favor so that many were saved, for it is written that ‘faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
