Teenagers’ 10th Gathering in Kaluga

Youth

Recently, during the school break teenagers from churches of Central Federal District gathered for a time of fellowship and prayer. 140 teenagers came to Kaluga. It was the 10th time that the churches of the Central Federal District make it possible for boys and girls of 11 to 16 years old to be able to have discussions, workshops and roundtables on some of the most vital topics.

During this time senior pastors and youth pastors gave them some good advices for life, answered questions, and gave some great insights from the Bible concerning everyday life of a teenager and their spiritual growth.

On Saturday night, Bishop Grigory Tropetz was talking God’s calling. He gave examples from the life of successful Christian leaders, from the Bible and talked about the importance of knowing your calling. Bishop emphasized that serving the Lord from early age is a good guarantee that one can learn the path that the Lord has in store for them.

It was interesting and exciting to see how serious and responsible this message was taken. There were many questions that were answered. Teenagers were encouraged to serve no matter what their non-Christian peers might think of them, and to bring the Good News to those who don’t know Jesus.

We are thankful to the Lord that He performed miracles. At one of the sessions several teenagers received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.  Some experienced their personal encounter with God. And we all know such encounters change lives.

There was a special day when the participants could show their talents. There were singing, dancing and other kinds of art demonstrated.

We believe that we are to make this kind of gatherings possible in order to impart our faith to our teenagers, as they are so open to the Lord and so thirsty.

All teenagers went home inspired and encouraged, they were planning to come back next year for the 11th teenagers’ gathering in Kaluga.
