People of Faith

While perusing the internet, I noticed a short video that was just released on the hve.ru website today. From time to time I visit the organization’s website, since it is both in Russian and English, and it offers a unique perspective on news and events across Russia from the church’s perspective.

On January 25 through 27, 2013, Philadelphia Church of Izhevsk celebrates an official opening and dedication of the House of Prayer. This is a large, modern building, located in an industrial district of Izhevsk, where many workers of several large plants live, now may become one of the attractions of the city. On the eve of this event, we talked with the senior pastor of the church, Bishop Pavel Zhelnovakov.

In the beginning of May 2011 one of the most intelligent, to our mind, and spiritually gifted preachers, apologists of Christian faith visited Russia. He has spoken in countries that are trying to drive all the Christians out and to the people that are driving them out.

Russian society is not yet ready to see the true value of philanthropy, thinks Bishop Vasily Evchik, the head of social department of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith. You can agree with him or not, but we recommend to read his interview to Primiritel magazine.

Dr. George O. Wood, General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, was one of the speakers at the Conference in Perm, Russia, in September. During his visit he took some time to patiently answer questions of ‘Primiritel’ (‘Peacemeker’) Magazine. (The Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith is publishing this magazine.)
