On March 18-22, 2013 the first session of a training program for managers and employees of rehabilitation centers was held. The session took place at the recreation center of the “Grace” church in Kaluga. The training session was organized by request from the “Grace” church ministers to improve skills of managers and employees of rehabilitation centers.
32 students from the Central Federal District and other regions – Tatarstan, Udmurtia, Murmansk, Penza, Orenburg, Yekaterinburg – participated in the training session. The speakers were: Alexey Ivshin, Head of the rehabilitation ministry of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith, and Michael Balakirev, Director of the rehabilitation ministry in Belarus.
The students expressed their gratitude for the excellent training. The training program helps managers to improve the work of rehabilitation centers, to evaluate and meet the needs of addicted people. For managers of rehabilitation centers it is a possibility to learn how to build relations with different categories of addicted people, with various government agencies, with team workers, with churches, etc. It is also a possibility to increase the level of personal knowledge required to become a successful leader/manager of a rehabilitation center.
