Missionary School began its work at the Risen Christ the Savior Church in Kansk, Siberia. (Kansk is a city located about 160 km (100 miles) east from Krasnoyarsk. Its population is over 100,000 people. The church there is known for its evangelistic and social work. 22 daughter churches were planted throughout the region during the 18 years of its existence.
32 students came from cities and towns of the Krasnoyarsk region. These are people who plan to become missionaries. During the training, they will not only study the theological disciplines, but also practical training for the future ministry will be provided. This is an important part, because after three months of training, the students will go to practical work. They will be a part of eavngelistic teams doing outreaches and starting new churches in the region.
The group of future missionaries were introduced to the church congregation on Sunday during the service. Some of them shared their testimonies. After that, the church prayed for God's blessing for them.
