OMSK – On March 9, children’s Christian Festival “Rainbow of talents” took place at Omsk Harvest Church. Children from different churches of Omsk regional Association gathered to praise the Lord with their gifts and talents.
Children sang songs, recited poems, presented dancing, musical and acrobatic acts, performed skits, the main focus of which was worshiping Jesus.
Pastor of the Harvest Church Nikolai Pluzhnikov greeted participants in the beginning of the festival with a word of advice, “The Lord gave us various gifts: some sing, some dance, some recite poems. We’re gathered here to not just demonstrate how gifted we are, but to praise God with our talents!”
During the presentations children enthusiastically watched the show, actively applauded, danced and sang with each other. It didn’t matter to them which church they were from, the key was that they’d gathered together to praise Jesus.
In the end of the event Oksana Zalivina, coordinator of children’s ministry of churches of Omsk area, presented commemorative diplomas to all participants of “Rainbow of talents” Festival. Representatives of “Agape”, “God’s Truth”, “Calvary Chapel”, “Revival”, “Fellow heirs with Christ”, “Corner Stone”, “Truth”, “Song of Ascent”, churches of “Living God” and “The Holy Trinity” and “Harvest” churches of Neftyaniki town, the left bank area and Lyubino town went forward to the altar to praise God for the various and wonderful talents He gave our children.
As Oksana Zalivina noted, the festival was necessary to teach the kids to praise the Lord with their gifts and abilities He gave them. It is important that the parents would understand too that developing their children’s abilities is not only important for secular events, but first of all – for ministering at the church, to praise the Lord.
In the end of the festival all children were given colorful stickers, which they should stick to any person in the room and bless that person. Children were very enthusiastic about the task, so very soon they were out of stickers. At the very end kids and children’s ministers danced a lively flashmob dance.
