Youth

OMSK (RUSSIA), Nov., 2-4 – The "Immersion" Youth Conference was held in Omsk. Boys and girls from eight cities of Russia, representing fifteen churches came to Omsk to immerse themselves in thoughts about their calling and commitment to the cause of God.

Guest speakers of the conference were Senior Presbyter of the Orenburg Association, Master of Practical Theology Vitaly Bushter, his spouse, head of the training and consulting company, consultant www.betri.ru Natalya Bushter, minister of the Siberian Christian Center of Novosibirsk, Sanya (SFO) Project leader Alexander Akopyan, Bishop of the Omsk Association, Senior Pastor of the Harvest Church of Omsk Sergey Gorbenko.

The first day of the conference began with meetings, networking, worship and prayer. Then Natalya Buster shared the word. Together with the participants of the conference she reflected on the calling and the time we spend to achieve our life goals. “I am created by God and for God” — this was the main idea of the speaker.

On the second day, Sergey Gorbenko, Alexander Akopyan and Vitaly Buster were the speakers. Sergey Gorbenko spoke about the secrets of victory and blessing in the life of a young man. “When you are in His hand, you bring victory and blessing,” — the senior pastor concluded.

Alexander Akopyan shared his testimony and performed several musical compositions. With his creativity, he strives to reach people with the Good News. Alexander Akopyan in his songs shares his feelings, testifies about his life and calls for abandoning the deeds of darkness and turning to the light. The basic idea that the speaker wanted to convey to the youth is recorded in the book of Genesis: “Walk in front of me and be blameless; and I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee very exceedingly”(Genesis, chapter 17, verses 1, 2).

The day ended with the word of Vitaly Buster about the Holy Spirit: personality, gifts and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. At the conclusion of the sermon, ministers prayed for the youth to be baptized with the Holy Spirit. The special atmosphere of God's presence and worship filled the hall. Many young people were baptized with the Holy Spirit.

On the third day of the conference, Natalya Bushter shared a brief but very strong word. She read a letter that she wrote to herself as a young girl. Her thoughts about the temptations of this world, about experiences, problems and difficulties, about the only possible salvation through Jesus Christ deeply touched everyone's heart. After that, Vitaly Bushter gave a workshop on the principles of effective thinking, which was very useful for young people and made them look at many things differently. The conference ended with the evening of praise and worship.

The “Immersion” Conference became special because of the deep sense of worship, which provided opportunities for knowing His word and His will, spiritual renewal and edification.
