50 people accepted Christ at an outreach in Odessa

From the field

ODESSA (UKRAINE) - “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit — fruit that will last — and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.” (John 15:16 NIV )

For nine days Covenant Church of Odessa along with the team from Pennsylvania preached the Gospel in the streets, in children’s facilities and in shelters for refugees from the war zone in the South-East of Ukraine.

During those days hundreds of people heard the Good News about the love of the Heavenly Father. Together with the words of love, missionaries gave the needy clothes and essentials, which had been gathered especially for the event. Love and care shown in such a way softened hardened souls and the Word of God deeply touched the hearts. Almost three hundred people accepted Jesus during those days!

The following Sunday a place that the church rented for Sunday service was full. There came twice as many people that the assembly hall could hold. At the end of the sermon fifty people came forward to the front to give their lives to God in prayer.
