Christmas Festival took place in St. Petersburg

ST. PETERSBURG – On December 14, the VIII annual Christmas Festival took place in St. Petersburg. Families with children heard the Christmas carols, watched a Christmas performance and received gifts.

Traditionally, in mid-December St. Petersburg evangelical churches host a Christmas Festival for citizens and members of Evangelical churches. Competitions, games with animators, children's choir and dance group performances, an interactive puppet show, a Christmas performance — the organizers prepared a program for children under 5 and from 5 to 12.

Bishop of the North-West Association Alexander Tsvetkov delivered a congratulatory speech. He noted that “the best thing that was happening in our homes was due to the presence of children”. The bishop addressed the children, “You help us to be united and encourage us to be sacrificial. This festival is organized for you because we believe you will become people who will change the world around you, you will become defenders of Christian values. You will become the reason for change for the best”.

The festival, organized by the North-West Association of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith, was attended by over 1,200 people. 784 children received gifts.
