On the second day of the National Conference of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith in Perm, Hudson Taylor's famous prophecy of global war and subsequent spiritual awakening was recalled. Bishop Vitaly Radkovich, Senior Presbyter of the Yaroslavl Association, pastor of the Yaroslavl “Grace” church, shared his vision of spiritual renewal.
“God showed me two visions,” Bishop Radkovich began his sermon. He told about the missionary's first vision, in which he saw global war and rebellions that engulfed many nations. But then he saw something amazing: “The second vision showed me a comprehensive national spiritual awakening in Russia, which covered the whole country. Streams of the Holy Spirit were pouring out with great power as never before.”
The bishop urged those present to reflect. “If we want revival, then why do we do nothing? I want to be a vessel in the hands of God. Who if not me?” — he emphasized, giving the title of his sermon.
Based on a Bible verse from the 2 Chronicles, the minister identified seven actions, including four that believers must do and three that are promises from God. The first is humility. Pride is something for which the devil will never condemn. Humility is saying to God, Thy will be done. The second is prayer. Prayer is not a way to get God to do what I want. It is a way of becoming an instrument in His hands. The third is seeking the face of God. What is God waiting for? — Prayers of humility. Fourth, turn from the ways of the wicked.
The bishop concluded his sermon by listing actions on God's part: “I will hear from heaven, forgive their sins, and heal their land.” These words were a powerful reminder that awakening begins with each of us.
From October 4 to 6, the National Conference of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith Pentecostals took place in Perm, where ministers shared important revelations and calls for spiritual renewal.
