Bishop Eduard Grabovenko: “Don't sleep through the storm”

Bishop Eduard Grabovenko

In Russia

At the All-Russian Conference of the Russian Church of the Christians of Evangelical Faith in Moscow on May 8, Bishop Eduard Grabovenko called on the church to wake up.

The bishop drew attention to the fact that Christians are afraid to enter into a vocation, even when they know what the Lord is calling them to do.

“I have the feeling that the events that are happening in the world are loudly telling Christians that it is time to pray and stand in the breach for this land,” Eduard Grabovenko said. - Even the godless begin to pray. It surely is the time for the Church to wake up”.

According to the bishop, the prayer of the righteous should sound even in the midst of failures and disappointments. Where the righteous release the word, the Holy Spirit accomplishes the work and salvation comes, the minister believes.

The preacher noted that believers often feel sorry for themselves, while God feels sorry for those who have no chance of salvation because there is no church in their village.

“We need to stop playing church,” the ruling bishop appealed to evangelical churchgoers. - Let's take full responsibility for our land.”

The All-Russian Conference of the RCCEF is taking place in Moscow from May 8-10. On the first evening, Bishop Eduard Grabovenko preached on the book of Jonah. It is a message to the church about its responsibility, the power of commitment, and the effect of God's Word.
