The youth of Saint-Petersburg will carry out the calling

SAINT-PETERSBURG – The VI annual Youth Сonference “Empowered. Mission possible” took place in Saint-Petersburg. Ministers from different cities of Russia inspired the participants to carry out their calling.

On the first day of the conference three workshops took place: “How to be a ‘trendy’ Christian”, “Relationships ‘before’ or how to remain pure”, “One Year for Jesus. Youth Internship Program”. The conference was opened by a praise and worship night: together with the youth worship team of Saint-Petersburg New Testament church the participants prayed and worshiped God. Coordinator of “One Year for Jesus–Youth” (Perm) David Grabovenko and a youth minister of Syktyvkar Source of Life Church George Kudrov shared messages. George challenged the youth not to wait but start acting for God, and David testified: “Jesus and heaven are worthy overcoming troubles and trials. The pain will pass, but the reward will be with you forever”.

On the second day of the conference bishop of the North-Western Association of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith, senior pastor of Saint-Petersburg New Testament Church Alexander Tsvetkov, bishop, senior presbyter of the Association of the Christians of Evangelical Faith of Komi Republic, senior pastor of the Syktyvkar Source of Life Church Pavel Kudrov, youth minister of Pskov Emmanuel Church Anna Shpakova, David Grabovenko and George Kudrov shared the Word.

Alexander Tsvetkov turned the attention of the participants to the power of unity: “Youth, adults, we need each other to be able to progress”. Anna Shpakova called those present to be conservative: “Preserve the Bible values to bring purity and holiness into the world”. Pavel Kudrov in his message challenged the youth to not be afraid to become famous, because God wants to influence the world through them.

Nikolai Zalutski, the First Deputy of the Head Bishop of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith, delivered the word of greeting. The bishop inspired the youth, “God Himself and us, ministers, believe that you will raise the banner of God’s love and the power of the Holy Spirit high. The time has come for the Church to rise up, to be filled and empowered by the power of the Holy Spirit, for everyone to know that Jesus is Lord”. The worship on day 2 was led by Pskov Emmanuel church worship team.

In conclusion of the conference the ministers participated in a panel discussion where they answered questions about the calling, the mentoring, the succession in faith and ministry, acting out the mission entrusted.

“During two days those who attended the Conference were making friends, having fellowship, receiving the Word for their lives. The participants shared that they received renewal at the conference and returned to their churches, cities and towns inspired”, – says Ekaterina, coordinator of youth ministry of North-Western Association of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith, the organizer of the Conference.
