On May 13th through 17th, New Life Rehabilitation Center affiliated with the New Life church of Barnaul hosted the third training session for leaders and workers of rehabilitation programs of Western Siberia.
This session was unusual because, unlike the previous sessions, when our teachers were pastors and ministers who are working in God's fields, this time veterans of the Teen Challenge International came to be our teachers, a wonderful couple David and Heather Ozanne.
Rehabilitation ministry leaders observed an unusual harmony in teaching, as well as in the relationship of David and Heather. For the first time we listened to two teachers from the pulpit: David and Heather both taught. And we were blessed by the translation of our faithful interpreter Tatyana Potapova, a wife of Bishop Sergei Potapov.
These trainings are organized and conducted by rehabilitaion ministry of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith and Teen Challenge ministry in four different location on Russia. We are very thankful for this tremendous opportunity for rehabilitation programs leaders and workers. They allow all of us to raise the quality of our work to a higher level.
The attittude and the response of rehabilitation centers' leaders that are being trained, make us do everything to give them opportunities to learn. Of course, the lack of material resources in the centers and tight schedules of leaders sometimes do not allow them to leave the center even for five days. At the same time, we see their tremendous commitment and desire to receive the necessary knowledge and learn from the experience of other ministers. This gives us, the organizers of the trainings, the inspiration and desire to serve brothers and sisters who have dedicated themselves to the Lord.
