Parents and their daughter found the Lord at the same time

Stories

PERM (RUSSIA) - Nikolai and Taisia’s house is at the end of a street of Uinski town. An elderly woman opened the door of the house that looked more like a fairytale house and invited us in. A man of about the same age was sitting by the table in a small but cozy room with a tandoor. The hosts invited us to take seats and we began a slow and circumstantial talk.

Nikolai and Taisia were newcomers in this town. A while ago their parents’ house burned down in a village where they lived their whole life and raised their daughter. On that day Nikolai and Taisia lost everything they had. Their grown-up daughter lived in another town by that time, so they moved to live closer to her. They rent a house for two thousand rubles a month, after buying firewood for the tandoor and banya they only have enough money left to buy some food. There’s no electricity in the house, it was turned off because they couldn’t pay for it. The fellow villagers have donated them some clothes, but they still are lacking warm clothes and footwear. Their daughter helps with anything she can, but she herself lives with her boyfriend and he’s a brawler.

Our talk was sincere and long. After we told them about Jesus Christ’s redemptive death on the Calvary cross and His resurrection, Nikolai and Taisia agreed to pray with us at once. And almost at the same time on the neighboring street Nikolai’s daughter reconciled with God after talking to another group of evangelists. In two days we were able to visit these people again and bring them the Bibles and warm clothes, and promised to come back as soon as we can.
