God always hears our prayers!

Stories
SERTOLOVO (ST. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA) - Anton Martemyanov from New Testament Church in St. Petersburg made several trips to Sertolovo, a community nearby St. Petersburg. There he met Roman, a young man, who was addicted to drugs and alcohol. Roman was so desperate, he eagerly prayed a sinner’s prayer right in the street and invited Anton to come over to his house.

Conditions of his living are disastrous. Roman’s mother Galina stays in bed all the time as her broken legs hurt severely and she can’t move them. 5 years ago her drunk neighbor hit her with a car. Since then she has been constantly visiting hospitals, which costs her lots of money. The offender doesn’t pay any compensation to Galina.

Her son also adds to the pain. When he gets drunk he takes food and water out of her reach and she stays hungry.

Galina prayed a sinner’s prayer. She prayed so sincerely as if she had been waiting for it all her life. Anton gave her the Bible and bought some groceries. Since then the missionaries bring her food and read the Bible together with her son. Obviously there are some good changes in their lives! The missionaries often call them, support and pray for them. God always hears and answers our prayers!
