All will come to order in the presence of God

Stories
DOMODEDOVO (MOSCOW, RUSSIA) - In my past life I used to live and work in the metro station “Kakhovskaya” dostrict in Moscow. I did not know the Savior then, but when I turned to God, He forgave my sins. Faith in Jesus Christ helped me get rid of tobacco and alcohol dependencies and other bad habits. My new, transformed life in freedom leads me to preach about Christ.

One Sunday we evangelized in that area, and I met my former friend. His name wass Eugene. Recognizing me, he came up and remembering me and my past life, asked for a cigarette.

I used to party and drink with him, so he was very surprised to hear my answer. He told me that he himself was not able to quit drinking and smoking. For me, this meeting and the conversation became a possibility to tell my friend about Christ. Eugene heard my story how I came to Christ, but in response to my offer to pray for repentance replied that he was not yet ready. Eugene explained that he didn’t consider it right to repent and then deliberately sin again. We invited him to church, and he promised that he would come as soon as his life was in order and he was ready to receive the word of God.

So often people are afraid to open their hearts to God, afraid to accept Him and do not understand that life will come to order only in the presence of God. Yet, I pray and believe that the seeds of faith were sown in the heart of Eugene, and it will take root.
