How shall they hear without a preacher?

Stories
PERM REGION (RUSSIA) - Arcady’s life was full of ups and downs, but something right happened to him at the age of 55. He heard the Good News and reconciled with God. He was very glad that he could attend a church. But everything changed when his family had to move to another city where there was no evangelical church.

Arcady has never told us what happened to him after they moved, but for several years he has been confined to a wheelchair, he has no fingers on both hands, he cannot work. His wife works for a collective farm. They have two grown up daughters.

There is no church in a town where they live now. Arcady was very happy at the arrival of missionaries to their town. With an open heart he received a prayer of blessing and renewed his commitment to the Lord. Realizing that he needed to be strengthened in the Christian faith, he asked, if possible, to be visited by a pastor from a nearby town, but he promised that he would read and study God’s word.
