PERM REGION (RUSSIA) - At the age of 86, grandmother Antonida accepted Christ! Although she owned a Bible for many years, she did not know Jesus as her Lord and Savior, until the missionaries brought her the Good News. They did not just tell her about salvation, but prayed with her the prayer of repentance. She liked to repeat the words of this prayer again and again, to feel the joy of understanding that the Lord cares for her, forgives her sins and loves her. Old woman even asked them to write this prayer on a piece of paper in large print.
Except her great-grandchildren, nobody really cares for grandmother Antonida. By herself she cannot even walk to the local store. For 40 years, she has been suffering from curvature of the spine. Her legs are partly paralyzed, often she has pain in her neck, shoulders and arms. Doctors gave her a second group of disability. Missionaries from Perm, who visited every house in the town of Maykor, where Antonida lives, prayed for her healing. She was glad that they paid attention to her, talked with her and prayed. She is grateful to God for everything.
