DZERZHINSKIY (MOSCOW, RUSSIA) - All Christians understand that the spiritual world is real. And we know that only the power of Jesus is overwhelmingly able to defeat the enemy. If only we can persist in our faith, we eventually see darkness dissipating unable to maintain its influence in the face of the Light.
How will other people know about it? What can we do for them? The answer is simple – tell people about it and pray for them. This is what the team from New Testament Church of Dzerzhinskiy did when they met Alexey, a young man, in one of the suburb towns of Moscow.
In spite of his young age, Alexey has already been to prison. He knows that there is God and there are evil spirits. At some point in his life he got under the influence of evil spirits. Alexey admitted that the evil spirits came to him and spoke to him. He doesn’t have any strength and doesn’t know how to resist the oppression and get free. The conversation with the team and their prayer brought some relief and helped to find out the way. Alexey realized that Jesus is more powerful that the spirits of darkness. He was thankful to receive a copy of New Testament and an invitation to a local church.
Team members were so glad to see Alexey later that week at the church where he came to get prayed for. Pastor prayed for him to be free from demonic oppression. Alexey prayed the prayer of salvation, asking Jesus to come into his heart and forgive his sins.
