One Year for Jesus team member speaking: A difficult decision

Our Teams
Recently, the team of New Testament Church of St. Petersburg visited a hospital where they came into each room, talked about Christ and prayed for people.

Says Anna Yurkina, a team member, “In one room there were two Muslim women. From generation to generation Muslims pass their knowledge of God, and when you tell them that Jesus is the Lord and Savior, they deny it, since for them, God is Allah. Knowing this, one would immediately turn around and leave the room. But we decided to stay, greeted the two women and introduced ourselves as Christians of Evangelical Faith (Pentecostals). One of the women smiled and agreed to listen to us. They both said they believed in God and went to a mosque. My friend Gulnara, who was with me, started to talk saying that she, too, was born to a Muslim family, but when she confessed Christ as her Savior, her life began to transform. God and His Word became alive for her; she began to feel His everyday help. After that I offered one woman, who was more attentive than the other, to pray a prayer of repentance and accept Jesus. In my heart I had faith that she would agree to pray, but my mind did not believe it. I stretched my hand, and to my surprise, she took my hand. My heart was exalting God, but I still could not believe that this stronghold could be destroyed. But the woman was very firm in her decision. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior, when the other woman at the same time rejected Him. I think that this decision was not easy for her. We thanked God for her and rejoiced!”
