ULAN-UDE (RUSSIA) - Evangelistic team from Ulan-Ude made a trip to Kurumkanskiy district of Buryatia, an autonomous republic within the Russian Federation in the south-central reion of Siberia along the eastern shore of Lake Baikal. Buddhism and shamanism are widespread in Buryatia.
It is a great miracle that in the towm of Baraghan 150 people heard the Good News about the Savior, and there was no one who would resist the Gospel message.

In one house we met a man who had a dream the night before we came to visit him. In his dream he saw two shamans who insisted on following them. Then he saw two other people with crosses in their hands. They were very polite and gentle. They offered him to choose Jesus Christ. This man woke up with a thought that he needed to make a choice in life, which way to go. But he didn’t know anything about Jesus. That was the morning when we came to visit him and told him the Good News. He made his choice – got saved and chose Jesus.

In another house a man, the head of the family of five shared that they live in fear, as at night they feel evil spirits’ presence. They terrify the family and do not let them sleep peacefully. After our conversation all family prayed to God for forgiveness of their sins. They accepted Jesus who overcame all evil spirits and became their Savior.

We continue to pray for this family and for other 12 people who got saved in the town of Baraghan. The other town that we visited was Kuytoon. People heard the Good News but didn’t want to repent. They were afraid of their neighbors’ opinion. Only one man said openly that it was the first time in his life that he heard this message and met people who try to do good to others. He had problems with alcohol and once he learned that Jesus gives victory over addiction, he immediately agreed to pray the prayer of salvation.
We are grateful to all who supports us in prayers.
