We prayed that at least one person would get saved

DOMODEDOVO (MOSCOW AREA, RUSSIA) - To evangelize in Moscow is not a very easy task. Most of the times you meet people with cold hearts, who are in haste and are afraid of something. When my brother Dmitry Tortunov and I were going to an outreach, we prayed for people to be more open, and that at least one person would get saved.

We were pleasantly surprised that people were very attentive and happy to listen to us. It felt like we met only kind and adequate listeners. Many people talked about their problems in life and their health issues, to those we offered prayers. Many agreed to be prayed for. After some time, we saw a young man in the company of a bottle of alcohol. We came up to him, but not only to make him feel less lonely. We intrroduced ourselves. His name was Yuri. I began to tell him about myself and how the Lord saved me. Yuri listened attentively, and then began to tell us his life story. We gave him the Book of Hope, and after the sinner’s prayer, Yuri already wanted to read his book. When we left, he continued to read. I believe that he will keep his promise to come to church, and we’ll see him again.
