One Year for Jesus Project in the Baikal region: one more team of missionaries began its ministry

News & Reports
The One Year for Jesus – an evangelistic project started by the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith - continues to tirelessly spread the gospel in different parts of Russia. God wants everyone to hear the message of salvation and change their life.

The “Salvation in Jesus” church in Chita equipped and sent out one more team of missionaries who made decisions to commit six months to serve for God.

Vladimir Vairach, the person who is responsible for missions, said:

"Today we clearly see the fulfillment of the promise that the Lord gave to our church through the prophet Isaiah: "I myself will go before you, and he will make the mountains level; I'll shatter bronze doors and cut through iron bars.  I'll give you concealed treasures and riches hidden in secret places, so that you'll know that it is I, the LORD, the God of Israel, who calls you by name (45:2-4).

Three years ago, the first team of evangelists visited the Telemba village, which is located in the Republic of Buryatia (90 km from Chita). We sow the Word of God with the faith that one day it would grow. The village had a population of about 2 thousand people. Then, despite the strong spiritual resistance, 70 people repented.

Recently, when we visited the village, we saw that people remember not us or our names, but the name of Jesus! December 1 we invited the villagers to a meeting that, in fact, was the first service where we talked about the basics of Christian doctrine, about sin, and about consequences it causes in people's lives.

With my own eyes I saw that the message reached its goal. 13 people responded to the call for repentance and gladly gave us their phone numbers and addresses for further communication. Now we pray for God to bless the further spiritual awakening in Telemba. We pray that a church is planted in the village."
