VORKUTA – From November 22 to 24, the Source of Life Church in Vorkuta hosted the conference “Mature church — mature ministry”. At the conference parishioners and guests of the church celebrated the birthday of the Vorkuta Source of Life Church.

Bishops Pavel Kudrov and Vyacheslav Gerasimov, and senior pastor of the Source of Life Church of Vorkuta Anatoly Potapov preached at the services. They spoke about the anointing, values and maturity of a Christian.

At the opening of the conference Vyacheslav Gerasimov delivered his message and urged believers to walk in the light of God's Word, to keep the values and to watch what foundation their life is being built. The bishop spoke about moments of his life when God's love helped. “Our hearts must be filled with the Holy Spirit,” — the speaker inspired. In the second sermon, the minister spoke about the burdens in the life of a believer in Christ and about the obstacles on the way following Christ.

Bishop Pavel Kudrov in his first sermon spoke about the importance of serving the Lord and the priorities in the family. God blesses families who serve the Lord and give grace to those who worship Him. In the second sermon, the bishop spoke about humility. For example, the pastor used the hero of the Bible, King Osiah, who was faithful to God at the beginning of his journey, but after some events the king became proud. “When something great happens in life, when God begins to lift you, you need to stay awake and keep your heart in humility”, — reminded Bishop Pavel Kudrov.

Pastor Anatoly Potapov preached about God's anointing and how a Christian should be filled with the Holy Spirit. “When you have God's anointing, you need to keep your heart. And if you really want to move with God, focus on Him,” — said Anatoly Potapov.

At the conference, parishioners of the church and its pastors Anatoly and Valentina Potapov were congratulated by pastors from Sosnogorsk and Emva Arseniy Prokushev and Vyacheslav Prokushev and pastors’ family from Usinsk Pavel and Valentina Volkov. Youth and teenage groups of the church performed on the stage. Young artists showed sketches and sang songs, read poems and danced. The worship group helped those present to worship and sing songs of praise and thanksgiving to God.

On the last day of the conference, November 24, Pavel Kudrov, Vyacheslav Gerasimov and Anatoly Potapov ordained pastor Ernest Banar and deacons Nikolay Stolzenko and Evgeny Krents.

Anatoly Potapov shared about the conference, “God took care of the church, sent such strong speakers, bishops Pavel Kudrov and Vyacheslav Gerasimov. I felt God's presence and love throughout the conference.”
