Christmas Festival in Saint-Petersburg

In Russia

ST. PETERSBURG (RUSSIA) - In St. Petersburg, on December 10 the fifth annual Christmas Festival was held. It was organized by the North-West Association of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith. Spacious convention center “Moscovsky” traditionally became the venue for the festival.

This year, the festival consisted of two parts: a matinee for children and a festive gathering for young people of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region.

1,100 children have registered for the Christmas matinee and learned the true meaning of Christmas through songs and skits performed by Children's Choir and a drama group. All children received sweets, coloring books and children's Bible. Pastors prayed a prayer of blessing for the coming year for all guests – children and their parents.

In the evening, 270 young people gathered for the festive event. Its special guests were members of the music team «LiveWorship» from Perm.

Throughout the evening sounded Christmas carols, the participants of the evening shared their stories and wished each other a happy Christmas. The day was filled with warmth, love, joy, and – we believe – with hope, God's goodness and light.
