“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints” (Psalm 116:15)

In Russia
MARIUPOL (UKRAINE) – On June 14, 2014 Pastor of the Renewal Church Sergey Skorobogach's life ended, as he was driving his car. He was shot during a firefight between home militia of Mariupol and Ukrainian border guards.

There is no justification for this crime, whoever directed the hands of murderers. I urge again and again Christians in Ukraine and Russia not only to earnest prayer, but to no less serious understanding of the situation in Ukraine. Philadelphia Church of Izhevsk stands in prayer for the family of the deceased pastor Sergey and the Renewal Church. God will help us all to get over this grief, keeping our hearts in His peace. Despite the fact that we are separated by thousands of miles, we are with our Ukrainian brothers and sisters.

On behalf of thousands of members and parishioners of Philadelphia Association of churches, as well as on behalf of all our family, and just as a relative I want to express the words of condolences and sorrow to the family and the Renewal Church. No one can take our hope away from us!

With prayer and Christian love,

Pavel Zhelnovakov,

Bishop of Philadelphia Assocoation of churches, Izhevsk, Russia
