Head Bishop of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith (the Pentecostal Union of Russia) appealed to Christians of Russia and Ukraine to unite in prayer as the Russian parliament authorized Vladimir Putin’s demand for the use of military forces in Crimea and on Saturday Russian troops took over the Crimean peninsula.
Dear Brothers and Sisters!
It is with heartache we are watching the news from Ukraine. Two neighboring and fraternal nations that have one history and one destiny are on the edge of military actions.
We urge all Christians to unite in prayer for Ukraine, so that the wisdom and counsel from above would help in this complicated situation. Let’s pray that people wouldn’t suffer and grieve as a result of the conflict.
«Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God» (Mathew 5:9).
Let’s humbly plead with the Lord, the Author of life. He is the only one who is mighty to restore peace and order. He is able to solve even the most tangled problems and to make a way where seems to be no way.
My sincere prayer is for every one of you that the Lord would keep you from evil. And may His love that covers all abide in every home.
May the Lord keep you and bless you!
