Unity of Generations Youth Сonference in Barnaul #svetproyouth19

Youth

BARNAUL – On November 1 to 3, an annual youth conference #svetproyouth19 took place in Barnaul. It was the third conference organized by the Light of Revival Church youth ministry, but it has become unique. It united people of different ages and was titled “Unity of Generations”.

Guests from two countries attended the conference: Russia and Kazakhstan, several cities and towns were represented: Barnaul, Novosibirsk, Iskitim, Gorno-Altaisk, Byisk, Rubtsovsk, Belokurikha, Zarinsk, Troitskoe, Kamen-na-Obi, Mamontovo, Mezhdurechensk, Balyksa, Sannikovo, Novokuznetsk, Pavlovsk, Slavgorod and even Nur-Sultan.

More than 300 participants gathered to praise God in unity and listen to His Word. But what was even more remarkable – the ministers that were present: four bishops of large regional associations, 13 pastors and their families!

At the opening of the conference Igor Inkin, bishop, senior presbyter of “Light of Revival” churches association of Christians of Evangelical Faith of Altai region spoke about the importance of building relationships between generations, because without them it is impossible to pass on anything to the youth.

Bishop Andrei Horoschenko, senior pastor of Novokuznetsk Church on the Rock, senior presbyter of West-Siberian Association of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith was teaching that all of us, irrespective of age, have the responsibility of sharing the Word, because the Word of God is a core value. He shared about how to become dependable on the Kingdom of God and bring up children.

Dmitri Kan, bishop from Kazakhstan, responsible for churches of Central Asia, taught about a mission as a purpose of any organization, including the church. Mission is fulfilling the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Alexei Rudenki, bishop of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith, first deputy of the Head bishop, senior pastor of Grace of Jesus Christ church of Volgograd in his sermon spoke about why a person avoids responsibility and the need to delegate and empower. People do that because of loneliness, weariness and inability to delegate. But he encouraged: we need to go all the way, and that is possible with the Lord!

During the conference two pastors’ families, 13 deacons and deaconesses were ordained. On Sunday, bishop Alexei Rudenki preached and prayed for healing. More than 20 people testified about healings right after that.

Many people shared that they received revelations, made important decisions. It was valuable that during three days people were together in unity. During the breaks they could have some tea or a meal. A photo booth was settled so that the participants of the conference were able to take memorable family pictures.

A feedback of one lady who worked at school for 40 years stands out. She said that she had never seen anything like that: young people, who were a majority in the hall, were attentively following what the older generation shared, and they were respectful. During the talk show, when young people came out to the platform and shared about their experiences with God, the older generation was respectfully listening to them.

A family represented by four generations was at the conference, many families were represented by three generations. Grandparents, their children and grandchildren were worshiping God together and listening to the Word. Different generations in unity – from 9 months old  babies to 80 years old ladies – all were together during these three days.

At the conclusion, bishop Igor Inkin said he thanked God for the amazing days of the conference.
