NOVOSIBIRSK (RUSSIA) – On Sunday, April 22, an important event for 15 guys and girls took place at the Covenant Church of Novosibirsk. They made a covenant with the Lord and promised to keep their purity till marriage. To confirm their decision they put on rings.
During five weeks the young people have been studying all about the true love, how the true love is different from falling in love and how to keep the purity till marriage. Over this time each one of them was testing themselves, facing difficulties of this decision, praying and fasting. Finally they made a decision to say "Yes" to the Lord in the covenant.
Some of them faced a hard choice, "What if I break the promise?" God helped them to see their lives from another point and realize they were able to follow Him unalterably.
So the day has come. Being festively excited they've pronounced the words of the covenant: "I believe that the Lord has prepared for me a true and only love. I want to keep myself spiritually and physically pure for the God blessed union. And today before God, the church, my friends and family I give a promise to strive to Christ's likeness…" For many that became a turning point of their lives that they would always remember.
