PERM (RUSSIA) – During New Year holidays, on January 3rd through 6th, a long-awaited youth conference LIVE took place in Perm. More than 700 young people from 80 cities and towns of our country came to the conference with a single purpose – to get closer to God and obtain a new direction for their lives.
Among speakers were such preachers as Anatoliy Moklyak, pastor of the Harvest Church (Kostanai, Kazakhstan), Viktor Lavrinenko, youth pastor of the Church of XXI Century (Saint-Petersburg), Alexander Khudyakov, head of youth ministry department of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith, youth pastor of the New Testament Church (Perm), David Grabovenko (coordinator for the Youth One Year for Jesus project (Perm).
All days of the conference were special for the youth, who came to spiritually grow and adopt experience from the older generation. Worship music, vocal, financial awareness, motivation, missions, premarital relationships were the topics of workshops at the conference. A discrete role was designated to the international mission talk show, where young people, who just came back from mission trips, were sharing their experience and inspiring others to join them to “go to the end of the Earth”. The sermons of the preachers started differently, but all of them ended with the same message to the youth – be quick to find out your calling and bring to life God’s dream. The final point of the conference was a talk show with pastors of Perm New Testament Church Edward Grabovenko, Pavel Khuda and Alexander Khudyakov, where they shared stories of their lives and gave comprehensive answers to the youth’s questions.
The “Oh, my God” talent show has become an integral part of LIVE conference, providing opportunities to the participants to spend the leisure time profitably and praise God by their talents.
Many participants of the conference shared that they experienced special God’s presence and the touch of the Holy Spirit.
