SYKTYVKAR (KOMI REPUBLIC, RUSSIA) – On December 20, a one-day regional women's conference took place at the Source of Life Church. 120 women from churches of Vorkuta, Pechora, Sosnogorsk, Ukhta, Emva, Kaygorodsk attended the conference. They were not only from the Source of Life Church network, but also from other evangelical churches.
The conference was filled with the presence of the Lord, preaching and fellowship. During the three services, speakers of the Conference, Larissa Grabovenko, head of Women's Ministries, and Elena Khuda, her assistant, preached, taught and edified sisters in Christ.
Together they reasoned about the Lord's love to every woman. He loves us simply because everyone of us is His daughter! God created women to be helpers of men. He did not make them weak, but on the contrary, with the intention that they should be strong in the Lord. They become strong, when they are rooted in the word of God. And God is faithful, He alone knows the intentions that are in store for us (Jer. 29:11-13).
God has given each woman gifts and talents so that we use them for service to others and for spreading of God's glory on this earth. How can we do it? By constantly abiding in Christ and looking in the mirror of God's Word (Jac. 1: 22-27).
At the Conference sisters prayed a lot, testified what God had done in their lives. One sister came to the service with her daughter. She told us that one year ago at the women's conference, she asked to pray for her daughter, who had been taken to intensive care. And God answered those prayers, her daughter's health has been restored. For each of the sisters, this conference was a blessed opportunity to spend time in God's presence and fellowship.
During the conference a meeting with pastors' wives of churches of the regional association was held.
