Last week, Good News Church in Tyumen (Western Siberia) hosted a Women's Conference. Larissa Grabovenko, leader of Women's Ministry and her assistant Elena Hooda, leader of women's and family ministry of the New Testament Church in Perm were the main speakers of the conference.
It began on Friday night, when couples got together at tables in a cozy atmosphere. That evening there was a discussion on how spouses can live «in one heart.» All who gathered came to a conclusion that a strong church is defined by the strengths of each family.
On April 13, Saturday, sisters talked about what is women's calling, and how we can get the strength and guidance of God for each of us.
The theme of the next day, Sunday, was «And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?» (Esther 4:14). The basis of the sermon was the story of Queen Esther and her uncle Mordecai. Esther's obedience and Mordecai's desire to fulfill the will of God led the Israelites to victory.
Then women turned to 1 Corinthians 9:24 «… in a race all the runners run ...». Sisters talked about the fact that we all are on the way, we run a race, but we should try to get the prize. On this way, we are not alone: God does not leave us even for a second. If necessary, He is always there to help, and His help is always on time. And as a reminder to all about the One who is always there and always helpful, sounded the words: «I can do everything through Him who gives me strength» (Philippians 4:13).
