5th Congress of the Children's Ministry coordinators

From the field

November 5, 2011 was the last day of the V Congress of Children’s ministry coordinators. While preparing for the Congress, God revealed His word to us: "And he built an altar there and called on the name of the Lord. There he pitched his tent; and there his servants dug a well." (Gen. 26:25).

When we, as children’s ministers, gathered at this congress we "built an altar" - again and again devoting ourselves to serving the Lord. There were people there who had to rebuild the ruined altars of prayer, worship, and personal relationship with Him... We "called upon the name of the Lord" and rejoiced that we could "pitch our tents" – separate from the world enjoying His presence! We also "dug wells" – knowing our complete dependence on God. And God cleansed our wells, cleansed everything that hindered us from hearing His voice, from getting a vision from Him.

It’s hard to express in words what the Lord has done in the hearts. Each one of us made personal commitment to do what God said to do, despite the fact that it will be difficult: even if it's hard, I know that in the end we will succeed.

Six days of abundant blessings of God and fellowship have flown by. Ahead of us is the task – to serve the Lord with stronger zeal! Let the lessons taught by the Lord remain on the tablets of our hearts. He really spoke to hearts through ministers who addressed the children’s ministry coordinators: bishops Vassiliy Evchik, Vladimir Motso, Sergey Linnik. Let us stay clean and take a firm stand, only then we can become the vessels that God will use. Let us be faithful to one goal, one calling and purpose – to serve God. "Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord" (Romans 12:11).
