At the end of January West Siberian regional association headed by Bishop Andrey Horoschenko, held a missionary training for ministers of rehabilitation programs. It was orginized by the regional rehabilitation ministry leader Andrey Filatov. Such trainings are organized regularly for rehabilitaion programs minsiters who are willing to train other leaders and start new centers.
Ministers from different cities of Kemerovo, Tomsk, Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk regions came to Novosibirsk for a week training, which was held at St. Paul's Seminary. The theme of the school was "A leader after God's heart." It is very important to raise and train leaders who can train others. At this training the ministers not only have acquired knowledge for their personal spiritual growth, but they will return home to train leaders in their rehabilitation centers.
Among the teachers were not only senior pastors of local churches but also ministers directly involved in the rehabilitation work. Many of them through faith in God were delivered from addiction.
The training was held from January 28 to February 1. The schedule was very tight – from morning till evening the students were praying, praising God and learning under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Evening meetings were filled with firery prayers and encouraging messages. Ministers noted the importance of such trainings at the regional level so that they could organize a better work in rehabilitation centers and to be able to start new programs. Many expressed their gratitude to the organizers of the training and expressed their wishes to meet more often.
We are pleased that the work of the church to prepare the leaders of social ministry has a positive growth, and many members of local churches and rehabilitation centers are willing to be more involved in this area of ministry.
